Engineering

L&G Consulting Engineers, Inc. (L&G) has two offices in Hidalgo County, one in Mercedes and one in Mission. Since its inception in 2001, L&G has contracted projects with a variety of public entities including cities, counties, and the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). L&G serves as the transportation engineering consultant for the City of Mission and Hidalgo County Precincts 1 & 3. L&G is also under contract with the TxDOT designing various highway projects for both the Pharr District and the San Antonio District. In addition, L&G has a professional staff with valuable experience in providing transportation engineering services including roadway, structural and hydraulic engineering, environmental, Right-of-Way acquisition provider services, and GIS Services. L&G is registered with the Texas Board of Professional Engineers and is DBE/HUB certified.

L&G’s production staff consists of four professional engineers, four engineers in training, two environmental specialists, five Right-of-Way acquisition service providers, a GIS analyst and eight engineering support technicians/staff. Additional support staff consists of a contract manager and two administrative assistants.

L&G’s managerial staff is fully pre-certified by TxDOT and has a competent staff dedicated to transportation planning, highway and bridge design, environmental document preparation, right-of-way acquisition and construction management. The facilities are furnished with computer workstations equipped with the latest software and peripheral devices such as high-speed plotters (color & monochrome) and laser printers. In addition, there are independent personal computer workstations equipped with engineering programs, and all workstations are networked into high-speed file servers.

L&G’s staff has completed numerous transportation infrastructure projects for TxDOT in the Cities of Mission, Pharr, McAllen, Hidalgo, Palmview, San Benito, Harlingen and the Counties of Hidalgo, Willacy, Starr and Cameron. As such, the staff is fully cognizant of all applicable Federal, State and local codes, ordinances, regulations and standards relating to transportation and infrastructure engineering. L&G prides itself in the ability to provide personalized quality-assured service and timely response to each project.

L&G is comprised of a managerial staff that has extensive experience in the transportation field because they either left TxDOT to pursue a career or have retired.
